President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in Bern, Switzerland, marking the fourth stop in a multi-nation diplomatic tour aimed at strengthening South Africa’s global trade ties.

His visit to Switzerland follows two official state visits to Vietnam and Indonesia, and a working visit to Malaysia, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate.

The Presidency underscored Southeast Asia’s growing influence as a trade bloc, emphasising South Africa’s need to deepen engagement in the region to unlock new market opportunities.
In Bern, Ramaphosa is being hosted by Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter for a state visit focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment.
