Zodwa Mdluli’s family calls for swift justice – SABC News

The family of Zodwa Mdluli is calling for swift justice following her horrific murder. This comes as the trial of the five men accused of kidnapping and murdering Mdluli and her partner, journalist Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu, was postponed until November 10.

The accused appeared in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court on the 14th of this month, but their legal representatives were absent.

They appeared briefly on Tuesday and face multiple charges, including kidnapping, murder, and house robbery.

The State requested a postponement to add additional charges based on new evidence.

Zodwa’s sister Lillian Mokgala says the delay is understandable.

Makgala says, “The reason for the postponement is valid, and it is something that we want. We want justice for our loved ones and for us to get justice, there must be strong evidence. So, the state returned this case because there is new evidence that they want to add. They want to add more charges on top of the charges they already have. So, it is understandable because that’s what we want, we want justice.”
