Lekompo musician set to appear in court for attempted murder – SABC News
A 30-year-old Limpopo-based lekompo musician is expected to make his first appearance in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday in connection with attempted murder.
The popular musician was arrested in the company of his lawyer in Polokwane on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the suspect was arrested following an incident which happened last month.
“We are taking this matter very seriously, and a dedicated team was appointed to ensure that no stone is left unturned. The South African Police Service reiterates that no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing.”
Police also seized the suspect vehicles for forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations.
