AKA, Tibz murder accused’s case postponed to January next year
The two brothers who are the latest suspects to be charged in the murder case of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane are due back in court on January 9, 2026.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande made their second appearance on Tuesday at the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
The matter has been postponed to allow the state and the defence to exchange further information linked to their extradition from Eswatini.

Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed on Durban’s Florida Road in 2023.
The Ndimande brothers were arrested in Eswatini in February and brought back to South Africa about two weeks ago.
They are also facing charges in other separate cases, including the murder of an Amanzimtoti taxi boss and the attempted murder of his wife in 2022.
Magistrate Irfaan Khallil addressed the two accused men, saying, “Malusi Dave Ndimande and Siyabonga Gizani Ndimande, to both of you, this matter stands postponed until the 9th of January 2026, back to this court. The matter stands postponed to allow your council to forward a formal request for certain information to the state and to allow the state to respond thereto. No bail is fixed; you will remain in custody.” – Reporting by Celumusa Zulu.
