New witness to take stand at Madlanga Commission
A new witness is expected to take the witness stand at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria on Tuesday morning.
Proceedings adjourned on Thursday last week following the testimony and cross-examination of businessman Brown Mogotsi.
Mogotsi made various claims, including one that KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative.
However, he could not produce any evidence and conceded that his utterances were hearsay.
Mogotsi also made claims that he was an Umkhonto weSizwe operative between 1993 and 1995.
However, Commissioner Sandile Khumalo reminded him that the MK was disbanded in 1993.
While the North-West businessman will not be returning to the commission on Tuesday, he will reappear on a date that is yet to be announced.
