Ex-RAF CEO issues a ‘cease and desist’ letter to Parliament Committee
Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts says it has now received a “cease and desist” letter from former Road Accident Fund CEO Collins Letsoalo.
This comes hours before he was due to appear before the committee.
The chairperson of the committee, Songezo Zibi, has confirmed receipt of the letter, saying Letsoalo’s lawyers sent it overnight.
Zibi dismisses claims by Letsoalo that summons were delivered to a postal address. He made the allegation after failing to appear before the SCOPA-RAF Inquiry.

Despite this, SCOPA will convene virtually this morning to discuss its next steps.
Letsoalo repeatedly failed to attend the Parliamentary inquiry into the RAF’s financial affairs.
It’s not clear whether he will appear before the committee today.
ActionSA MP Alan Beesley says this is a direct challenge to Parliament’s authority.
