Businessman and alleged criminal cartel kingpin Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala has exposed more of his alleged dealings with the former Police Minister Bheki Cele before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee looking into concerns around national security.

Matlala says that Cele acquired a lot of money from him on numerous occasions, including protecting Cele’s wife and taking them together to a certain wedding.

Matlala has refuted allegations that he kept Cele closer to him because he was benefiting from him.

“If he was sucking information from me why would even ask me to ask my protectors to take him and his wife to take him to a wedding somewhere to Lanseria. So, there was no way that I would send my protectors to drive him. There was no way because he does not know them. If he wanted to suck information from me, he was supposed to make sure all the time I am with him so that he can suck information from me.”
