In other awards, the Best Engineered Album went to Thandiswa Mazwai’s – Sankofa!.
Melanie Scholtz won best Adult Contemporary Album for Seven.
Best Hip Hop Album goes to 25K – Loyal to the Plug.
This year’s 31st Annual SAMA is taking place at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg.
RiSA CEO, Nhlanhla Sibisi says the SAMAs are not just about trophies but legacy, impact, and stories the nation is told through music.
The 25 categories include Best Afro Pop Album, Best Jazz Album and Best Collaboration.
The awards are being screened live on SABC 1.
