Decomposed body of a man found in Mpumalanga farm



A decomposed body of a man was found near a railway line at Janson Dam, on a farm outside Dullstroom, Mpumalanga.

Provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane said the discovery was made on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

“According to information received, a fisherman’s wife was exploring the area when she noticed a body lying face down. Police were immediately notified and responded to the scene,” said Ndubane.

Ndubane added that when police arrived at the scene, they found a decomposed body of an unknown man.

“The deceased was wearing a blue T-shirt, black tracksuit trousers, and white takkies,” added Ndubane.

Police urge anyone who may have information that could assist in identifying the deceased or locating his family to contact Detective Sergeant Mpho Sithole on 082 771 4334 or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Alternatively, information may be submitted via the MySAPS App. All information received will be treated with the strictest confidentiality, and members of the public may choose to remain anonymous.
