Two suspects in the murder of DJ Warras face court in Johannesburg

Two men implicated in the murder of local celebrity Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock made their joint appearance in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, with the case now postponed to April 1 for further investigation.

Wednesday marked the first time Victor Majola, 44, and Armindo Pacula, 25, faced each other in court since their separate arrests in December 2025 and January 2026, respectively.

This week, Pacula told the court that he fears for his life and indicated that he intends to plead guilty to charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and violation of the Immigration Act.

Majola, who was arrested first, is accused of orchestrating the murder, while police believe that Pacula was the person who shot the popular radio and television show host.

Meanwhile, last month, the same court denied Majola’s bail application.

During Wednesday’s hearing, State prosecutor Vincent Mochela requested the postponement, citing incomplete investigations as the primary reason.

“Your worship, since the investigations are still incomplete, I suggest your worship on the 25th of March for further investigations. I’m certain whether the date suits both defence attorneys,” he stated.

The first accused, Victor Majola.

Mochabela further revealed that the video footage central to the case is still being processed by the State’s forensic team, which is why an extension for finalisation of these key resources is necessary.

“Your worship, the video footage has been sent to the lab. We’re still waiting for the footage to be analysed. And there is also a cellphone download, which is still outstanding. There are also the results of Section 205 for the cellphone communication. It is still outstanding, and some of the 205s from the banks,” he added.

DJ Warras was gunned down on December 16, 2025, in the heart of Johannesburg’s Central Business District. At the time of his death, he was contracted to oversee a security system upgrade at the Zambezi flats, an area linked to recent hijacking incidents.
