South Africans in Iran urged to register with the embassy – SABC News
Government has asked South African citizens in Iran to register with the embassy in Tehran and ensure that it knows their whereabouts.
This comes as Israel and Iran continue to strike each other. The International Relations Department says in a statement that South Africa’s support in Iran is limited, and no face-to-face consular assistance will be possible in an emergency.
The Government says they may not be able to help you if you get into difficulty, depending on your location.
It has also encouraged South Africans in Iran to assess their safety and act accordingly.
