Hansen at fullback on Ireland return

Ireland coach Andy Farrell has recalled Mack Hansen and made nine changes to his starting lineup for Saturday’s Test against the Wallabies in Dublin.

Hansen, who had been expected to miss Ireland’s entire November campaign with a foot injury, has recovered in time to start at fullback – his first Test appearance in the No 15 jersey.

The 27-year-old Australian, who featured in five British & Irish Lions tour matches earlier this year, has been playing at fullback for Connacht and now replaces the injured Jamie Osborne and Hugo Keenan.

Flyhalf Sam Prendergast gets the nod ahead of Jack Crowley, while Stuart McCloskey returns to the midfield after overcoming a groin issue that sidelined him for the win over Japan.

Ireland will again be without Garry Ringrose and Josh van der Flier, who are both nursing hamstring injuries.
