Provincial official killed in N2 head-on collision near Butterworth
The Eastern Cape Department of Transport has expressed deep sadness after a provincial official died in a head-on collision on the N2 between Butterworth and East London on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened at Nciba, when a government vehicle heading towards Butterworth collided with a Toyota double-cab travelling in the opposite direction.
Seven people were injured, and traffic is currently being managed through a stop-and-go system as emergency services clear the scene.
A culpable homicide case and charges of reckless and negligent driving will be investigated by Kei Bridge SAPS.
Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose says the department sends condolences to the official’s family and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
