The Boland Cavaliers have been bolstered ahead of the new domestic season with the signing of an experienced winger.
According to Netwerk24, Jade Stighling – who has played for both the Vodacom Bulls and the Pumas – has returned to South African rugby, signing a two-year deal with the Wellington side following a stint in the Major League Rugby with the Seattle Seawolves.

Coach Hawies Fourie has highlighted the impact the 32-year-old is expected to make, as the Cavaliers look to improve on what was a dream 2025 season where they ended in the top 4 of both the SA Cup and Currie Cup tournaments.
“Jade is a very well-rounded player. He has no weaknesses in his skill set,” Fourie said.
“He is good in the air, a good finisher, very fast and a hard-working guy, as well as a good team man. He is the kind of player we are looking for.”
The former Bulls flyer brings valuable overseas experience back to the South African game after his time in the United States, with Boland confident that his maturity and work ethic will strengthen their backline group.

According to Fourie, Stighling’s influence will extend beyond his on-field contributions.
“He will add a lot of value because he is an experienced player and has a good attitude,” he said.
“He also has a good influence on the guys around him.”
