Cash-in-transit vehicle blown up on N2 in KwaZulu-Natal, residents loot
Emergency services have been dispatched to a major incident on the N2 northbound near Chesterville, KwaZulu-Natal where a Cash-In-Transit (CIT) vehicle has been robbed and subsequently blown up by suspected criminals.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said members were currently on the scene attending to the situation as authorities work to secure the area.
Meanwhile, Jamieson said looting is actively underway following the explosion.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as law enforcement and emergency responders manage the unfolding incident.
