The High Court in Johannesburg has granted businessman Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe bail of R400,000. He was arrested for his alleged involvement in the 2022 murder of Oupa Sefoka, commonly known as DJ Somebody.

In August, the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court denied Molefe bail saying he had failed to present exceptional circumstances to justify his release.

Molefe then challenged the ruling.

Judge Brad Walness says the lower court’s decision was based on speculation.

“The applicant is to report to the Morningside Police Station on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The applicant is restricted to the borders of Gauteng. He is permitted to travel to Welkom which is the Free State for business purposes. But he must inform the investigation officer of his intent to do so,” says Walness.
