Musician Shebe Maburna case postponed to 28 May

The case of Limpopo musician, Lehlohonolo “Shebe Maburna” Chauke, has been postponed to 28 May 2026 in the Polokwane Regional Court.
The matter has been postponed to allow the defence team to familiarise itself with the 11 additional charges.
Shebe Maburna is now facing 20 charges. They include attempted murder, theft and assault. He has been in custody since his arrest in November last year.
Magistrate Felleng Ntilane has granted the postponement to allow the defence lawyers adequate time to prepare before the trial starts.
“ This matter is postponed to the 28th day of May 2026 for the state to furnish the defence with statements in this matter at half-past eight. You are in custody, sir. You have no bail. Mr. Khumalo is your legal representative. Thank you.”
