Nehawu’s National Congress kicks off in Boksburg
The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) is convening its national congress at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg on the East Rand.
Delegates are expected to assess the progress made since Nehawu’s last major resolutions in 2017.
Top of the agenda is the expected adoption of a reviewed medium-term strategy alongside a comprehensive 10-year plan designed to steer the union forward.
The 12th congress is also expected to launch a book recording the union’s history since its inception in 1987.
