PKTT disbanded for no longer aiding policing efforts : Senthumule

SAPS Deputy Divisional Commissioner General Khosi Senthumule says the reason provided to her over the disbandment of the KwaZulu-Natal Police Killings Task Team (PKTT) was that it no longer significantly contributed to policing efforts.
General Senthumule says this was in a letter from Deputy National Police Commissioner General Shadrack Sibiya in February this year.
The PKTT was disbanded by police Minister Senzo Mchunu on December 31, 2024.
General Senthumule is testifying at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria on its disbandment and the subsequent seizure of the 121 police dockets.
