Sono urged religious leaders not to remain silent but support communities during difficult times.
“We’re going to lift up people in prayer. Our theme this year is about the speaking blood. You know, in the Bible, Hebrews 12 talks about how the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of king of Abel Radha. The blood of Abel talked about judgment, talked about revenge, the blood of Jesus talks about forgiveness, acceptance. You know, in a time when so many people feel unaccepted, unloved, they feel like God is far from them, and we’re going to talk about that, and just share with them, and us being here in these open skies with all the people celebrating, wanting to bring that love of Christ to the people of our land.”
