Two suspects are expected to appear in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday in connection with the killing of a 64-year-old woman.

Khanyisile Ngwane is from Mthwalume on the province’s south coast. She was found in a pool of blood inside her house in the Nhlabamkhosi area earlier this month.

Ngwane was also robbed of valuable items.

“Investigations were conducted and on Thursday, 23 October 2025, a 24-year-old suspect was arrested at Nyangwini area in possession of items which were suspected to have been taken from the late Mrs Ngwane’s home. On the same day, police arrested a 36-year-old man also for the murder of Mrs Ngwane. Both suspects were charged with murder and possession of property suspected to be stolen,” says SAPS’s Paul Magwaza.
