As a child, Faye Eshraghi grew up across the road from a community health centre. It was simply part of everyday life. Years later, that early connection has taken on real meaning: much of Faye’s career is now dedicated to strengthening primary healthcare, in South Africa and around the world. This year, she joins the Influential Awards 2026 – Cape Town Region as a Brand Ambassador.

Kindness, hard work and a love of learning

Faye’s upbringing shaped much of who she is today — especially two values her mother instilled in her: be kind to people, and work hard.

Education has been another defining thread. From a young age, Faye had a deep desire to learn, and that curiosity still shapes how she approaches life, leadership and her work.

Leading the Knowledge Translation Foundation

Today, Faye is Managing Director of the Knowledge Translation Foundation (KTF), leading the organisation, strategy and systems behind work that strengthens primary healthcare.

KTF stewards PACK — the Practical Approach to Care Kit — and its work reaches well beyond South Africa, extending to countries including Brazil, Ethiopia and Indonesia. It is influence measured in better care for communities across continents.

Entrepreneur at the meeting point of health and technology

Faye is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of Lume Wellness, a company working at the intersection of health, wellness and technology. Lume includes a digital health platform that makes healthcare simpler to access, with women’s health and wellness products currently in development.

Her entrepreneurial work springs from the same curiosity that drives her whole career: exploring how technology, innovation and fresh ideas can solve real-world problems.

Turning ideas into practical solutions

Across everything Faye does runs one common thread — the ability to turn ideas into practical solutions.

Her leadership style is grounded in partnership: building relationships of trust, bringing people together and creating the conditions for others to do their best work. Her Bahá’í faith also shapes how she leads and lives, particularly the principle that work done in a spirit of service is itself a form of service to humanity.

Faye is deeply rooted in family, while remaining creative, curious and excited by what is still possible. Her philosophy is simple and generous: empower people to grow, contribute and succeed — because our greatest impact is achieved collectively.
