SA Weather: Here’s what to expect this Thursday

South Africa can expect a mostly cool and settled weather pattern on Thursday, with only isolated showers along parts of the eastern coastline.

According to the South African Weather Service, much of the interior will remain dry and fine, while temperatures cool off compared to earlier in the week.

The eastern coastal belt, stretching from KwaZulu-Natal through to the Wild Coast and up towards southern Mpumalanga, carries a 30% chance of isolated rainfall.

Port Shepstone, Durban, Richards Bay and surrounding areas may experience light showers, although widespread rain is not expected. Inland areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria and Bloemfontein are forecast to remain dry and cool under partly cloudy skies.

The Western Cape and Northern Cape will see largely fine conditions with cool to warm daytime temperatures, though coastal areas like Cape Town and George can expect some cloud cover driven by strong onshore winds. No severe weather warnings have been issued, with conditions remaining stable across all provinces.

While the northern parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga will enjoy warm weather, most central and southern regions of the country will feel cooler, particularly in the Free State, Eastern Cape interior and southern Highveld.

South Africa heads into Thursday with calm weather, cooler air settling across much of the interior, and only light, isolated showers brushing the eastern coast.
