Sifiso ‘Gwabini’ Zungu has refuted all claims that he hosted a gathering at his hostel residence in Vosloorus on Gauteng’s East Rand the day Senzo Meyiwa was killed.

According to key state witness Constable Sizwe Zungu the Basotho hostel was the place where all the accused met, before and after the alleged hit on the Bafana Bafana captain.

‘Gwabini’ Zungu has been on the stand at the High Court in Pretoria, where five men are on trial for the 2014 murder of Meyiwa, maintaining Constable Zungu allegedly lied about the day in question.

Mnisi: Is this what Constable Zungu says is all a fabrication should I understand it like that ?

‘Gwabini’ Zungu: Yes

Mnisi: And you reject all the testimony he said of the 26th of October 2014.

‘Gwabini’ Zungu: Yes, it is lies.
