Inclement weather affecting flights in Cape Town and George
Cape Town International Airport says several flight operations from the Mother City have been impacted by the inclement weather. Spokesperson Debi Shepherd says many of the flights from the airports have been diverted to OR Tambo in Johannesburg.
Shepherd says Cape Town Airport remains open and operational despite the adverse conditions.
In a statement, Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has also confirmed that flights in George have been affected although it remains operational.
“Airport operations continue to be closely monitored, and alternative airports are accommodating diverted flights where required. Passengers are encouraged to consult the ACSA Mobile App or their respective airlines for the latest flight information.”
