SAPS orders Adams to hand himself over to the nearest police station

National Coloured Congress leader and MP Fadiel Adams is a wanted man. Police have confirmed that they have called on him to hand himself over to the nearest police station.

The SAPS Political Killings Task Team (PKTT)  says it has a warrant of arrest for Adams in connection with charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice.

Adams allegedly interfered with investigations into the murder of former ANC Youth League leader Sindiso Magaqa.

National Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says the alleged interference involved a convicted hitman at a critical stage of the case.

“SAPS has a J50 warrant of arrest for Mr Adams. The warrant of arrest relates to serious allegations that he interfered with ongoing investigations into the matter of the late ANC Youth League leader, Mr Sindiso Magaqa. Arrangements were made with his attorney to hand himself over on Monday at the Cape Town Central Police Station, but as of now, he has not cooperated. The SAPS urges Mr Adams to cooperate with law enforcement and hand himself over at his nearest police station without delay.”
