The Pinky Mothie’s Sari Queen Contest, in partnership with India InStyle, kicked off in dazzling fashion on Sunday, 5 October 2025, at the Hollywood Bets Cricket Stadium. The first heat showcased incredible grace, confidence, and charisma, as contestants from all walks of life took to the stage in vibrant saris.

After much deliberation, our judges shortlisted 10 outstanding contestants who will advance to the semi-finals. But the journey isn’t over yet — Sunday, 12 October, offers one more chance for aspiring participants to enter this empowering contest.

The semi-finals take place on Sunday, 19 October, leading to the much-anticipated finals on Sunday, 26 October, where participants will compete for their share of R15,000 in cash prizes:

1st Place: R10,000

2nd Place: R3,000

3rd Place: R2,000

The contest celebrates women empowerment and welcomes all women aged 18 and above — no modeling experience required! Whether you’re 18 or 65, this is your moment to shine in a sari and showcase your inner queen.

The 10 pictures featured here highlight the talented women who have already made it through to the semi-finals. The hi-lite of the event is Rajiv Mothie, Afrofusion and multi award winning singer Zubair Bobat. The host of the Sari Queen Contest is none other than the ever popular Zakia AHmed Siddiqui.
